AMD CEO Lisa Su expressed her opinion on the duration of the chip shortage. According to her statement, in the first half of 2022, the supply is likely to still be limited.
But already in the second half of next year, the shortage of microcircuits will not be as acute as it is now. How much the situation will change, the head of AMD did not predict, but her vision is still better than that of a number of other specialists who predict improvement only in 2023.
It should be understood that AMD itself does not produce semiconductors, so we are talking about improving the situation as a whole, which will affect not only AMD but all other companies as well.
In general, so far most forecasts agree that the deficit situation will improve at least in the second half of 2022 or at the beginning of 2023, but no one undertakes to predict when it will completely return to normal.
