The Ministry of Industry and Informatization of the PRC has published details about the new smartphone, which, according to the source, should be released under the name Xiaomi CC11.
Outwardly, it is very similar to the Xiaomi Mi 11 Youth Edition or Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite, which is still the lightest and thinnest 5G smartphone in the history of Xiaomi - the thickness of its body is 6.81 mm and the mass of the device is equal to only 159 g. However, the characteristics of Xiaomi CC11 indicate that it weighs only 157g, so after the announcement of this device, the title of the lightest 5G smartphone in Xiaomi history will pass to it.
The thickness of the body of the new smartphone remains the same as that of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Youth Edition, at 6.81 mm. In addition, it is known that the Xiaomi CC11 uses a 6.55-inch OLED screen and a 4150 mAh battery.
The novelty will be equipped with a new single-chip system Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G, produced on the basis of TSMC's 6-nanometer process. As a reminder, Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group China and General Manager of Redmi Brand, conducted a survey on Weibo in which users were asked to choose between Snapdragon 778 and MediaTek Dimensity 1200 / Dimensity 1100. As a result, more votes were given for MediaTek platforms.
It is reported that Xiaomi CC11 will receive a main 64-megapixel camera, an ultra-wide-angle module and a telephoto lens. The front camera should get a 20MP image sensor and various beautifiers, just like the previous models in the line.
The smartphone is expected to cost around $ 300.
