Microsoft unveils Surface Pro 8 with Windows 11

Microsoft today unveiled a ton of hardware innovations. We have already talked about the Android smartphone Surface Duo 2, and in this news, we will talk about the Surface Pro 8 tablet, which replaced the Surface Pro 7. Microsoft claims that the novelty is twice as fast as its predecessor due to the new processors. These CPUs are Intel Core i5-1135G7 or i7-1185G7, and business users can order the version based on the Core i3-1115G4.

The volume of the solid-state drive varies from 128 GB to 1 TB, but if necessary, users can replace the SSD themselves - it is provided with easy access. But the same cannot be said about RAM. However, there are three options to choose from 8, 16, and 32 GB.

Surface Pro 8 received a 13-inch screen with reduced bezels - as a result, the dimensions are almost unchanged compared to its predecessor, which had a smaller display. The screen is characterized by a frame rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of 2880 x 1920 pixels. The tablet also received two USB-C ports connected to the Thunderbolt 4 interface - this makes it possible to add a discrete graphics card and a dozen more different connectors and ports to the system, as well as connect multiple monitors.

The autonomy of the tablet under normal use scenarios is 16 hours, charging from 0 to 80% will take a little over an hour. The tablet configuration also includes a front camera with support for Full HD video recording, a 10-megapixel main camera, two microphones, 2-watt speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and Surface Slim Pen 2 stylus support.

Pre-orders for the Surface Pro 8 are being accepted in the US today, with shipments starting October 5th. The cost of new items is $ 1,100.
