Xiaomi is preparing two smartphones on Snapdragon 870, and Redmi will release a model on MediaTek

Chinese manufacturing giant Xiaomi releases many devices every year, and often phones with the same hardware come out under different names and brands (Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco).

According to an insider under the nickname Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi is preparing to release two smartphones based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, which will range between flagships and mid-range smartphones.

In addition, the same informant said that a mid-range Redmi smartphone will soon appear, which will be based on the MediaTek single-chip system. However, it is not yet clear if this device belongs to Redmi Note or another series.

In November, a huge sale will take place, during which manufacturers not only reduce prices for previously released models, but also release new smartphones. A year earlier, Redmi released a special version of the Redmi K30S, which has become one of the best in terms of price and performance.

Recently it became known about the imminent release of the Redmi K40S, which will receive a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a Snapdragon 888 single-chip system, a 5000 mAh battery and support for 120 W fast charging.

Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately report the specifications and release dates of the Redmi K30, K40, Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 11.
