Xiaomi Mix 5: 2K display with sub-screen camera and 200-watt charging

At the time of the presentation of the Xiaomi Mix 4, the Chinese manufacturing giant stated that the company had invested hundreds of millions in research and development of sub-screen camera technology to create a smartphone with a display without cutouts or holes. After the announcement, development continued to improve the technology.

According to the latest news from a well-known insider nicknamed Digital Chat Station, the next generation Xiaomi flagship will receive an improved, higher-resolution screen that will provide an even more impressive visual experience. Xiaomi Mix 4 received a 6.67-inch OLED display with Full HD + resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels). The screen resolution of the Xiaomi Mix 5 will be increased to 2K (the exact value is not reported).

By then, the technology will be improved, so manufacturers won't have to sacrifice resolution if they want to place the camera below the display surface. In this case, the area with the camera will be invisible to the eye.

In addition, the same source claims that Xiaomi will launch mass production of 200W wired charging technology for smartphones next year, and it may well debut in the Xiaomi Mix 5.

Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately report the specifications and release dates of the Redmi K30, K40, Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 11.
