Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has overtaken Apple as the top-selling wearable brand in Q2 2021. The Mi Smart Band 6 performed very well despite the fact that it was not launched in India during this period. Now, after the release of the Mi Band 6 in India, sales will continue to grow.

The third place is held by the Chinese tech giant Huawei, followed by Fitbit, and Samsung rounded out the top five. Smartwatches are replacing fitness bracelets, and here Apple leads with a market share of 31.1%. The second place is taken by Huawei with a share of about 9%. Next come Garmin with a share of 7.6%, Samsung with 7% and Xiaomi with 5.7%.

Smartwatches now account for 62% of the world's wearable device shipments. This trend will continue as manufacturers increasingly develop models packed with many important features.
