Zalman yesterday unveiled its premium line of Acrux power supplies. It was opened by 1000W and 1200W models equipped with fully modular cable systems. The 1000W model has six 8-pin (6 + 2) PCIe connectors, while the 1200W model has eight. Both have two 8-pin (4 + 4) EPS connectors.
80 Plus Platinum certified PSUs are built on a single + 12V rail, DC / DC conversion, and active PFC. They only use Japanese capacitors. Protection against overvoltage, overload, overheating and short circuits is provided. For cooling, 135mm FDB fans are used. The fan does not turn on until the load exceeds 1/3 of the rated load.
