Adata Technology announced the release of the Premier Extreme SDXC SD Express Card. They are compliant with SD 7.0 specification, supporting PCIe and NVMe. The new removable media delivers SSD-like performance, according to Adata.
More precisely, the presence of the PCIe Gen3 x1 interface allowed us to obtain read and write speeds of up to 800 MB / s and 700 MB / s, respectively. These are about 1.5 times faster than SATA SSDs, about 2.7 times faster than UHS-II SD cards, and 8 times faster than UHS-I SD cards. At the same time, the card is backward compatible with devices designed for media supporting UHS-I. When used with such devices, you can expect read and write speeds up to 100 MB / s.
The cards are waterproof, shockproof, X-ray, static electricity, high and low temperatures. They are offered in 256 and 512 GB sizes. The manufacturer does not provide prices.
