Alibaba today unveiled its proprietary Etian 710 processors. New items are not highly specialized - they are designed to perform various tasks. However, they will not go on free sale: the Etian 710 is developed primarily for itself and its data centers.
Alibaba names the Etian 710 the most powerful Arm server processor. Their performance exceeds the industry benchmark by 20% and their energy efficiency is 50% higher. The CPUs are manufactured using the 5 nm process technology, have 128 cores with a frequency of 3.2 GHz, support eight DDR5 memory channels, and 96 PCIe 5.0 interface lines. The Arm V9 instruction set is also supported.
