Apple completely abandoned the letter S in the names of smartphones

Before the release of the iPhone 13, there were speculations that Apple was considering the idea of launching a smartphone called the iPhone 12s. Firstly, the number 13 is unlucky in various countries, and secondly, the company has previously released smartphones with the letter S in the name.

As it turned out, these sources were wrong. And now it is reported that Apple has completely abandoned the use of the letter S in the names of smartphones. In other words, there is no need to wait for the iPhone 13S next year: the new smartphone will be released under the name iPhone 14.

The main reason is that the appearance of the letter S is not conducive to sales of new smartphones, as it may lead users to think that the new smartphone has not changed much compared to last year's model. As a result, fewer users will want to upgrade.

Apple first used the letter S on the iPhone 3GS in 2009. CEO Phil Schiller pointed out at the time that the S stood for "speed." The last smartphone in this line was the iPhone XS, which was released in 2018. According to the source, Apple has found that additional letters and words in the title can negatively influence consumers' buying decisions. I also remember the iPhone 12 mini, which is in low demand compared to other models.

The iPhone 14 series is expected to include four models: the 6.1-inch iPhone 14, the 6.5-6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. ...

Meanwhile,  iPhone 13 Pro users have discovered a new bug in the flagship smartphone , which shows that it is charging even if it has not been connected to a charger for a long time.
