Belkin Range Expands 14-Port USB-C Docking Station Certified for Use with Chromebooks


Belkin has announced a 14-port USB-C docking station certified to work with Chromebooks. Designed with the growing number of Chrome OS users in mind, the dock is capable of automatic firmware updates via Chrome OS and offers broad compatibility with Chromebooks. It is equipped with a USB-C input port that can supply power (up to 65W). Up to three monitors can be connected to two HDMI 2.0b ports and two DisplayPort 1.4 ports at the same time. In addition, there are USB 3.2 Gen2 ports: USB-C supporting DisplayPort Alt Mode, USB-C (data transfer only) supporting 10Gbps, and three USB-A (10Gbps), one of which supports BC 1.2 and Apple Charge. In addition, there are two USB 2.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, and audio in and out.

The dimensions of the docking station are 210 x 80 x 29 mm. It will be available to order starting in December for $ 190.
