BOE will supply 15 million OLED screens for iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 this year

As previously reported, the Chinese company BOE has begun supplying OLED displays for the iPhone 12 smartphones. In addition, the company will soon receive approval to supply screens for the iPhone 13. Analysts estimate that BOE will ship 15 million OLED panels for iPhones this year, which is about 10% of the total OLED panels for iPhones, making BOE the third-largest supplier behind Samsung and LG.

OLED screens for the iPhone 13 are reported to be produced on the B11 BOE production line in Mianyang, Sichuan. Apple's permission to ship the screens will be issued later this month.

According to official figures, BOE shipped 6 million OLED panels for the iPhone 12 in the first half of the year, and this number is expected to rise to 10 million by the end of October. For the iPhone 13, BOE plans to ship at least 2 million panels. Under the best forecast, the company will be able to ship 5 million screens for the iPhone 13.

BOE does not yet have serial production of LTPO panels, so the company cannot yet start supplying screens for the iPhone 13 Pro models.
