Deficit and pandemic will not affect Apple and iPhone 13

Last month, sales of smartphones of the iPhone 13 series started, which are in great demand, especially the older models from the Pro consoles. Due to the shortage in the semiconductor market and increased demand, some models have to wait 4-5 weeks.

According to the Chinese edition of Mydrivers, citing local research companies, this year, iPhone 13 shipments will reach 90 million units. At the same time, last year's shipments of the iPhone 12 amounted to about 80 million smartphones.

According to the latest news, a large number of workers have left the factories for the production of electronics and various components in Vietnam due to the pandemic. A total of 2 million people may leave Vietnam. It was speculated that this could have a big impact on iPhone 13 sales figures.

Tianfeng Securities mentioned in its research report that the component shortage caused by the production suspension in Vietnam is a short-term problem that will be resolved in mid-October. The source adds that the impact of the problems on Apple's supply chain is relatively limited.

Analysts predict Apple production in the fourth quarter will return to traditional holiday season levels, attributed to Apple's strong supply chain management capabilities and the gradual relief of the Vietnam epidemic.
