Dell introduces its monitors with canceling camera and microphone

Dell introduces its S2722DZ and S2422HZ LCD Monitors that come equipped with a pop-up webcam and noise-canceling microphone, so they're already well-prepared for video calling.

The Dell S2722DZ monitor offers images with a 27-inch WQHD resolution that already integrates a webcam and microphone with noise cancellation technology. Unfortunately, we do not have the specifications of the camera to know at what resolution it can capture the images.

The panel is the IPS type that achieves a classic 60 Hz refresh rate with a response time of 4 ms. Clearly this is a monitor for productivity and not specifically for demanding gamers.

The maximum brightness it can achieve is 350 cd / m2, with a 1,000: 1 contrast ratio, a maximum number of colors of 16.7 million colors, and a horizontal and vertical viewing angle of 178 degrees.

Despite not being a monitor for 'gaming', many will appreciate the support for AMD FreeSync.

There are other models of different sizes, such as the Dell S2422HZ with 24 inches, which still has a built-in camera and microphone.

Dell is also taking the opportunity to announce the S3222HS monitor with a curved 32-inch FullHD display.

This monitor uses a FreeSync compatible VA panel that offers 300 cd / m2 brightness and a 3000: 1 contrast ratio. The response time is also 4 ms. This latest "S3222HS" monitor is the only one that does not come with a built-in camera and microphone.

Prices

  • S2722DZ : $ 449.99
  • S2422HZ : $ 329.99
  • S3222HS : $ 322.49

Dell's bet is the productivity segment, with monitors for the office, teleworking or simply for multipurpose computers. We will keep you informed.
