Google Pixel smartphones will be able to activate video recording in case of emergency

Google Pixel smartphones have another unique security-related feature. Emergency SOS function has been added to the Personal Safety app. The function allows the user to configure the smartphone's power button to be pressed five times. There are several options to choose from: calling emergency services, sending various data, including your current location, to reserved numbers, or recording video. In the latter case, the video can be up to 45 minutes long and is automatically saved to the cloud storage. The video is quite compressed, so 1 minute takes about 10-15 MB. Once downloaded, the video can be automatically sent to the specified contacts.

When the alarm is activated, the user has about 5 seconds to cancel it. Also, the user can choose whether the smartphone will loudly signal the activation of the SOS signal or everything will be silent.
