Huawei Digital Energy Technology, has entered into a deal with Shandong Electric Power Construction

Huawei, represented by Huawei Digital Energy Technology, has entered into a deal with Shandong Electric Power Construction, under which the Chinese giant will build a massive energy storage facility in Saudi Arabia.

The capacity of the plant will be 1,300 MWh, and this is a record for today. For example, last year Tesla began construction of a similar facility in California, but with a capacity of almost half (730 MWh). And at that time it was this storage that was the largest of the announced.

The Huawei storage facility will be built in a new city by the Red Sea as part of the government's Saudi Vision 2030 initiative. Perhaps this refers to the Neom city project.

By the way, Huawei Digital Energy Technology was created only a few months ago, so its start is more than ambitious.
