Intel is discontinuing one of its most specific processor Xeon W-3175X

Intel is discontinuing one of its most specific processors, the Xeon W-3175X. Customers will be able to order it until April 29, 2022, and the last shipments are scheduled for October 28, 2022. Intel said that demand for the Xeon W CPU is declining, so the company will focus on other solutions.

However, the Xeon W-3175X itself has always raised questions. Initially presented at the end of 2018, it was a mixture of a server CPU in the LGA 3647 and a solution from the HEDT segment. Initially, the company positioned it as an enthusiast processor but then began to say that it was directed exclusively to system integrators. In addition, under the cover of the Xeon W-3175X, there was a so-called thermal gum, not solder, which already raised questions.

At the same time, at the initial stage, CPU prices reached $ 4,000, and even now the recommended value is $ 3,000.
