iOS 15.1 and iPad OS 15.1 Coming October 25

iOS 15 has become the slowest-spreading iOS operating system in the past few years and has brought with it a number of issues that frustrate users. Apple will eliminate many of these in the upcoming iOS 15.1 build, which is currently in beta. Twitter user @RobertCFO has received confirmation from a member of the Apple Product Security team that the final version of iOS 15.1 will be released.

IOS 15.1 and iPad OS 15.1 will be released on October 25, exactly one week after Apple's Unleashed event scheduled for October 18, according to an announcement by an Apple employee. This is in line with Apple's usual software update policy of releasing new software within one week of major press conferences.

Apple iOS 15.1 is expected to bring SharePlay to remotely watch and stream content with friends via FaceTime, support for ProRes videos and Covid-19 vaccination documents in the Wallet app, and fix iOS 15 bugs.
