iPhone 13 Pro Max with the best screen in the industry tops the DxOMark ranking

DxOMark labs said the iPhone 13 Pro Max has the best display in the smartphone industry. Now, this phone tops the rating with 99 points. It outperforms the Huawei P50 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, which scored 93 and 91 points, respectively. The iPhone 13 Pro Max uses a 6.7-inch, 2778 x 1284-pixel OLED display at 458 ppi. In addition, this display supports up to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate technology.

DxOMark believes that the smartphone has excellent readability in almost all conditions. This device also boasts excellent color performance, responsiveness, and smooth viewing. It supports HDR10's high dynamic range and has adequate brightness and contrast.

However, DxOMark believes there is room for improvement in the iPhone 13 Pro Max's display. For example, at default settings, the brightness of the device is not sufficient for comfortable reading at night. In addition, when the blue light filter is active, the display has a strong orange tint. Measurements have shown that the display brightness reaches 1066 cd / m 2 . Last year's iPhone 12 Pro Max has a maximum brightness of 815 cd / m 2.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G is brighter than the iPhone 13 Pro Max, but its screen shows less hair detail in a portrait, which is not realistic enough. Also, the Samsung screen is too saturated. iPhone 13 Pro Max can adjust brightness very smoothly to adapt to changing lighting conditions.
