Kobo Libra 2 and Kobo Sage presented

Kobo has released two new e-books at once. In a rather modest market, where there are not many players left, this is a lot. The youngest of the two is the Libra 2. The device costs $ 180 and offers a 7-inch E Ink Carta 1200 touchscreen display with a resolution of 1264 x 600 pixels. Libra 2, at its not the highest price, can offer not only screen backlighting, but also water protection (IPx8). The novelty is based on an unnamed platform with a frequency of 1 GHz, there is 32 GB of flash memory, Wi-Fi 4, Bluetooth, a USB-C port, and the autonomy is declared at the level of one week. Dimensions are equal to 144.6 x 161.6 x 9 mm with a mass of 215 g.

The Sage model is priced at $ 260. It is similar in design, but has a larger 8-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1440 pixels, although the pixel density is still identical (300 per inch). There is the same amount of memory, the same ComfortLight PRO backlight technology, and protection against water, but a more efficient quad-core processor with a frequency of 1.8 GHz and a Wi-Fi 5 module. Dimensions are 160.5 x 181.4 x 7.6 mm with weight 241 g. In addition, there is support for the Kobo Stylus. Both books support EPUB, EPUB3, FlePub, PDF, MOBI, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIFF, TXT, HTML, RTF, CBZ, and CBR formats.
