MacBook Pros coming this month

Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman says Apple is gearing up to launch Apple's new M1X SoC at its October event. In 2020, Apple made the long-awaited transition to the ARM-based Apple M1 SoC. In addition to the 10-core processor, Apple's M1X SoC will offer a choice between 16- and 32-core GPUs.

The wait for the MacBook Pro is probably almost over: the new MacBook Pro didn't show up at Apple's product launch in September, but it still has to be released in the coming weeks. Apple usually unveils its major new Macs in October. So stay tuned.

The Apple M1X will debut in the new MacBook Pro lineup and will appear in the Mac mini at some point. The M1X platform has been designed in two flavors, with 10 CPU cores (eight high performance and two high performance) and 16 or 32 graphics cores. The SoC will receive improved neural processing capabilities and support for up to 64GB of RAM. - Mark Gourmet

At the September event, Apple unveiled the iPhone 13 series, the Apple Watch 7 smartwatch, and two new iPads.
