Micron Technology has announced Crucial DDR5 desktop memory modules. The line includes 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB DDR5-4800 modules, available one or two. They all operate with CL 40 delays at a supply voltage of 1.1 V.
According to the manufacturer, the new modules significantly outperform the previous generation DDR4 memory in terms of data transfer rates. Effective memory bandwidth is almost doubled. The modules are characterized by high energy efficiency. Modules support XMP 3.0 profiles.
An 8GB DDR5-4800 module costs $ 58. A set of two of these modules is priced at $ 116. A 16 GB module will cost $ 106, and for a set of two modules with a total volume of 32 GB, the manufacturer predictably asks for $ 212. Finally, a 32 GB module costs $ 201, and a set of two modules of such modules with a total volume of 64 GB is offered to customers for $ 401.
