New MacBook Pros will feature Apple's M1 Pro and M1 Max SoCs

Today there will be a new press conference Apple Unleashed, which, according to numerous sources, will be devoted to the new notebooks of the MacBook family. The next-generation MacBook Pro is expected to feature Apple's new M1X SoC.

The editor of the authoritative resource Bloomberg Mark Gurman (Mark Gurman) said that the new single-chip systems will be called the Apple M1X Pro and Apple M1X Max. He received this information from a member of the MacBook development team.

The Apple M1 Pro will have a 16-core GPU while the Apple M1 Max will have a 32-core GPU. There is also information claiming that a direct successor to the Apple M1 called the Apple M2 could arrive in early 2022 when the company announces the next-generation Apple MacBook Air.

As for the new MacBook Pro models, 14- and 16-inch models are expected in the lineup. Both have 16GB of RAM and a 512GB solid-state drive. Apple has reportedly switched to displays with a 14: 9 aspect ratio. Both models will be equipped with mini LED displays supporting 120Hz refresh rates. The bezels will become so narrow that even the familiar MacBook Pro lettering will disappear under the screen.

The MacBook Pro 14 and MacBook Pro 16 should get a full-sized HDMI port, two USB-C ports, and a MagSafe wireless charging connector.
