New World: Amazon does not admit that its game is the cause of death of top 3D cards

The first data that the game Amazon New World literally kills video cards appeared in the summer. Then the GeForce RTX 3090 and RTX 3080, created primarily by EVGA, failed. Later, EVGA herself obeyed - admitted to a "rare soldering defect." It would seem that the question is at an end. But no, last week there were again reports that New World is killing video cards, only this time it was mainly about Gigabyte models. There were many cases of failure of video adapters, so Amazon itself commented on the situation.

The company is sure that New World has nothing to do with the deaths of video cards in the summer and now in the fall.

“ Over the past few days, we have received several reports from players experiencing issues with their GeForce RTX graphics cards. After careful investigation, we were unable to identify any unusual behavior on the part of the New World that could cause these problems. EVGA has already pointed out bugs in the production of some GeForce RTX graphics cards. New World is safe to play. For players who are experiencing a hardware failure, we recommend contacting the manufacturers, ”is the official comment from Amazon.

Interestingly, the company is now not even mentioning unlimited frame rates in the beta version of New World, which could very well cause hardware failures or even malfunction. On the other hand, problems with mostly EVGA and Gigabyte products do look suspicious. Why don't Asus, MSI, and Plait video cards fail? In addition, the frame rate of the final version of the game is by default limited to 60 Hz, and this can be done by absolutely any video card of an average and even more top-end level. In general, it is possible that 3D cards continue to fail for reasons that have nothing to do with the game itself.
