Poco C31: 5000mAh battery, triple camera, fingerprint reader, water-repellent coating and Android 11


The Poco brand on Sept 30th unveiled the Poco C31 smartphone in India. The novelty brought a number of surprises: firstly, there were three sensors in the camera, not two. Secondly, there is a fingerprint scanner, which is not typical for models in this price range. 

Poco C31 received a 6.5-inch IPS screen with HD + resolution. The front camera has a 5-megapixel sensor, and the main one has three sensors with a resolution of 13, 2, and 2 megapixels. True, one of them does not take part in the shooting - it is used only to analyze the depth of the scene, and the second 2-megapixel one is designed for macro shooting.

The Poco C31 should prove to be a pretty tough smartphone - the corners of the body are reinforced, and there is also a P2i water-repellent coating. The hardware platform of the device is MediaTek Helio G35. Volumes of RAM LPDDR4X - 3-4 GB, built-in flash memory eMMC 5.1 - 32-64 GB.

The battery capacity of the smartphone is 5000 mAh, 10W charging is supported. The OS was Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 interface. The Poco C31 is 9 mm thick and weighs 194 grams.

Sales of new items in India will start on October 2. The cost of the version with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of flash memory for the first buyers is $ 105. The variant with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of flash memory is priced at $ 120.
