Realme GT Neo 2T presented today turned out to be a clone of the old model

The world's fastest-growing smartphone brand, Realme, regularly launches new models on the market. Today, the Realme GT Neo 2T was presented, which is positioned as the younger brother of the hit Realme GT Neo 2, but the Gizmochina resource dug into the technical specifications and came to the conclusion that an old smartphone is hiding under the new name.

The source claims the Realme GT Neo 2T is a Realme GT Neo with a glass back. Earlier this year, Realme replaced the Realme X series with the Realme GT lineup. The original Realme GT smartphone was followed in March by the Realme GT Neo, which is now being offered to users under a different name with a tiny change.

The smartphones have identical dimensions (158.5 x 73.3 x 8.4mm) and specifications. The original Realme GT Neo only supported 50W fast charging, while the Realme GT Neo 2T supported 65W charging. But back in May, Realme launched a new variant in China called the Realme GT Neo Flash Edition with 65W fast charging.

Both Realme GT Neo and Realme GT Neo 2T are based on SoC MediaTek Dimensity 1200, but the newest smartphone received Dimensity 1200-AI, which supposedly has some optimizations in terms of artificial intelligence. But in fact, for the average user, these smartphones differ only in the back panel.

What's more, the Realme GT Neo 2T gets the same old Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11, but it costs more. Realme is touting the Realme GT Neo 2T as a brand new phone, but in the end, it isn't.
