Revived GeForce RTX 2060 with 12 GB of memory will retail for $ 300?

A GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card with 12 GB of memory, which is expected to be released in January, could cost about $ 300.  The source believes that it is this improved adapter of the last generation that will compete with AMD's low-end cards on GPU Navi 23 because the upcoming desktop GeForce RTX 3050 will allegedly not be able to do this. True, in the near future we will only get a confrontation between the RTX 3060 and the RX 6600, which is approximately equal in features and price. And what and when AMD will release in a more affordable segment is not yet very clear.

Anyway, the old card will come to the rescue of Nvidia. But the important thing is that those same $ 300 is supposedly the final retail price and not the recommended value. It is not yet very clear whether it is realistic to achieve such a price in retail at all, but even the RTX 3060 with a recommended price of $ 330 costs at least $ 550-600. That is, the RTX 2060 with 12 GB of memory will be twice as affordable, and in terms of performance, it is inferior to the more recent model by only about 15-20%.

It is also not yet clear whether there will be any changes in the configuration of the RTX 2060 or if everything will be limited to the increased amount of memory. By the way, the original RTX 2060 was introduced just under two years ago with a suggested price of $ 350.
