Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra model don't have any memory card slot

The South Korean company Samsung is expected to unveil the flagship line of smartphones Samsung Galaxy S22 early next year, which will receive a more modern platform, improved cameras, screens with narrow bezels, and support for the S Pen stylus for the Galaxy S22 Ultra model. However, there will be no such thing as a memory card slot.

It's worth noting that the microSD card slot was missing from the flagship Samsung Galaxy Note 20 as well as the Galaxy S21, which left users disappointed. A couple of years ago, microSD card slots were very common and could be found in almost any phone except the iPhone.

However, today more and more manufacturers are abandoning this slot, which is becoming obsolete. The fact is that against the background of modern flash memory, the speed of MicroSD memory cards is significantly lower. And some gaming smartphones are already equipped with solid-state drives. MicroSD cards can slow down your smartphone significantly.

We can add that a few years ago Samsung tried to get rid of the microSD card slot in the Galaxy S6 series, but after a wave of outrage from users, the microSD card slot is back in the Galaxy S7, and S7 edge models.

The Galaxy S22 is expected to ship with a minimum storage capacity of 128GB, and users will be offered versions with 256GB and 512GB of storage.
