Various reviewers have already tested the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 smartphones, confirming Samsung's claims that the company has improved smartphone reliability over its predecessors. Now Samsung has released an official video showing the various tests these smartphones are being subjected to.
There are two main concerns with the durability of folding devices. The first concerns the flexible screen's ability to fold hundreds of thousands of times without damage, and the second concerns the ability to regularly use the S Pen on the soft screen material. Samsung has dedicated test benches for these purposes, which show how the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 are tested before entering the market.
In addition to bending tests and the use of the S Pen, smartphones are also tested in a special chamber - a simulator of various weather conditions, and the phones are immersed underwater.
However, laboratory tests are not always a guarantee that the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 are rugged smartphones. It has already been reported that the Galaxy Z Flip3's screen will crack at the fold just a few days after you start using it, but this information is fortunately rare.
