This smartphone, two years ago, became the world's first device based on the MediaTek Helio G90T single-chip system. According to Lu Weibing, the main reason Redmi chose the MediaTek G90T is that this platform has enabled the company to create a gaming phone with sufficient performance for around 1,000 RMB (about $ 150).
The Redmi Note 8 Pro eventually became one of the most popular smartphones in the Note series, just like the Redmi Note 7, which Lu Weibing recalled in a previous post.
