The global version of the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G is very different from the Japanese


Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy A22 5G SC-56B smartphone in Japan. Despite the familiar name, this phone is very different from the Galaxy A22 5G previously released on the global market.

Samsung Galaxy A22 5G SC-56B is equipped with a compact 5.8-inch display. The waterdrop notched TFT panel has HD + resolution and supports a typical refresh rate of 60Hz. The 5G phone is based on the Dimensity 700 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. A slot for microSD memory cards is provided. The phone runs the Android operating system with One UI shell.

The battery capacity is 4000 mAh, the main camera has a 13-megapixel image sensor, the front camera is 8-megapixel. The smartphone complies with the IP68 degree of protection, it is equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 5G, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, USB-C, and 3.5mm connectors. However, it lacks a fingerprint scanner.

The smartphone will go on sale in Japan in mid-December.
