Earlier this month, it became known that Xiaomi is preparing to release a new smartphone Poco M4 Pro, which has now been tested in the popular Geekbench benchmark. The specs of the device may disappoint fans of the brand.
The Poco M4 Pro 5G is expected to be unveiled between November and December. The Chinese version of the device with model number 21091116AC has been tested in Geekbench with a single-chip MT6833P system. We are talking about the mobile platform Dimensity 700, which was previously used in the Poco M3 Pro 5G. The global variant of the smartphone has model number 21091116AG.
MediaTek has low-cost platforms that are significantly better than the Dimensity 700, such as the Dimensity 720 or the Dimensity 810 SoC, which is faster and will be used in the Chinese Redmi Note 11. Previous rumors have indicated that the Poco M4 Pro 5G will be based on the Redmi Note 11, but, it doesn't seem to be the case.
The tested smartphone has 8 GB of RAM, but sources say that a version with 6 GB of RAM will be on sale at a lower price. The device scored 603 points in single-core tests and 1,779 points using all cores.
The Poco M4 Pro runs Android 11 right out of the box, the smartphone should be equipped with MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition shell. The Xiaomi 12 is expected to be the company's first device with Android 12.
