Untethered jailbreak of iPhone up to iOS 14.5.1 released

Hacker and security specialist Linus Henze has released the Fugu14 untethered jailbreak tool for iPhones running up to iOS 14.5.1.

Fugu14 supports iPhone smartphones with Apple A12, Apple A13, and Apple A14 SoCs that run iOS 14.3-14.5.1. The peculiarity of untethered jailbreak is that when you restart your phone, the jailbroken state is not lost. You don't have to connect your device to your computer after every smartphone reboot.

Fugu14 support has already been added in unc0ver v7.0.0. Soon, the tool will be integrated into the Taurine jailbreak. However, the author of the tool himself warns that for now Fugu14 is intended for experienced developers, and not for ordinary users. To use Fugu14, you need to connect your Mac to your smartphone, Xcode, idevice installer and other tools must be installed on the computer.

iOS 14.4 and iOS 14.5 were released quite a long time ago, so there are not so many devices running on these versions of the software. So far, Linus Henze is not talking about jailbreaking iOS 15.

Although recently the hacker group Pangu Lab performed the world's first remote jailbreak on the iPhone 13 Pro and gained full access to the phone.
