Asus has confirmed the Android 12 update release schedule for its Zenfone and ROG phone models shortly after Google released Android 12 for its Pixel devices.
Asus said it has already invited Zenfone 8 users to an Android 12 beta test program that will help identify and fix bugs before the final version of the software is released in December this year.
The ZenFone 8 series will receive an update in December. ROG Phone 5 and ROG Phone 5s should receive it in the first quarter of 2022. Android 12 for Zenfone 7 and ROG Phone 3 series is expected in the first half of 2022.
Asus has confirmed that the distribution will be phased in different regions of the world.
