Yesterday, MediaTek officially unveiled the latest flagship mobile platform, Dimensity 9000 , which is manufactured using TSMC's 4nm process technology.
It also became known that smartphones based on this single-chip system are already being prepared for release by Vivo, Realme, Xiaomi, Oppo, Samsung, Motorola and OnePlus. However, there is no information yet on which of these manufacturers will be the first.
MediaTek is reportedly going further next year and launching a new sub-flagship mobile platform built using TSMC's 5nm process, which will most likely be called the Dimensity 7000. In fact, the Dimensity 7000 series is already undergoing trials.
The MediaTek Dimensity family began with TSMC's 7nm process technology. The Dimensity 1200, Dimensity 1100, Dimensity 920, Dimensity 900 and Dimensity 810 single-chip systems are manufactured using TSMC's 6nm process. The Dimensity 7000 is expected to be the first to use TSMC's 5nm process technology.
