New details about the inexpensive Galaxy Tab A8 tablet of the new generation

The new generation Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 has been spotted in Geekbench, so we learned a little more details about the upcoming device.

In particular, that the heart of the novelty will be the SoC Unisoc T618. It is a 12nm SoC with four Cortex-A75 and four Cortex-A55 cores and a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU.

It has a fairly modest performance. In the same benchmark, it gains about 1600-1700 points in single-threaded mode and about 5300 points in multi-threaded mode. It is worth clarifying that this is Geekbench 4, and its results cannot be compared with Geekbench 5. For comparison, the Snapdragon 636 or MediaTek Helio P60 showed about the same results. In comparison, the current version of the Galaxy Tab A8 has a Snapdragon 429 SoC and is much less powerful.

As for the rest, the tablet will receive 3 or 4 GB of RAM, and previously it was credited with four speakers, a 10.4-inch screen and an 8 megapixel camera.
