Nintendo Reduces Switch Production By 20%

According to Nikkei Asia, the semiconductor shortage that has hit all electronics manufacturers has finally overtaken Nintendo. Big N was forced to cut production of Nintendo Switch consoles by 20%.

By the end of the fiscal year (March 31, 2022), the company intended to ship 30 million gaming devices to stores. The figures were later adjusted by 26 million. Nintendo is now promising to ship 24 million consoles.

In comparison, the company closed last fiscal year with 29 million consoles shipped. The news will definitely delight those who wanted to give Nintendo to a friend or loved one for the coming holidays.
