Optoma UHZ50 Laser Projector Introduced

Optoma has unveiled the new UHZ50 Smart 4K UHD projector designed for home entertainment and games. It supports 4K output at 60fps and 1080p at 240Hz with a 4ms response time. This model is ideal for gamers.

This laser projector supports HDR10 and HLG, has a contrast ratio of 2,500,000: 1, a brightness of 3,000 ANSI lumens, and a manufacturer's guaranteed runtime of 30,000 hours. It received two USB ports for connecting multimedia devices, two HDMI 2.0 ports (including the eARC version), and HDCP 2.2 support.

Most buyers will likely use a soundbar or other higher-end audio devices, however, they should be aware that the UHZ50 Smart 4K UHD includes two built-in 10W speakers. In addition, Optoma claims that its projector is rated for silent operation at 26dB.

The projector is equipped with vertical lens shift, 1.3x zoom, and 4-angle correction to make it easy to set up and ensure that the projected image is displayed correctly. Optoma promises "exceptional color accuracy".

The native aspect ratio is 16: 9, while it maintains a 4: 3 aspect ratio. The diagonal of the projected image is between 34.1 inches and 302.4 inches. There is 3D support. The projector has a built-in media player, access to essential video streaming applications, and support for voice control.
