Samsung brings some Galaxy Watch 4 innovations to older smartwatches

Samsung Electronics today not only released One UI 4.0 based on Android 12 for the flagship Galaxy S21 but also announced a major software update for the older members of its smartwatch line.

The update actually brings some of the features and exclusive features of the new Galaxy Watch 4 ( review ) to models such as the Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Watch Active2, and Galaxy Watch3.

For Galaxy Watch Active2 and Watch3 that already have Fall Detection, you can select a higher sensitivity. The sensitivity can be adjusted so that the watch detects drops even when the user is standing still. When a fall is detected, the watch will send an emergency notification to pre-selected contacts.

Another innovation is the updated group missions to train with friends no matter how far away you are from each other.

The watch also gets 10 sub-dials, which originally debuted with the Galaxy Watch4. Some of them offer an additional level of personalization - you can choose the background or text colors and "settle" on the screen of the "pet" to choose from.
