The end of the era of cheap Realme smartphones

Xu Qi, Vice President of Realme and President of the China Office, announced today at the China Mobile Global Partner conference that the company is preparing to enter the high-end smartphone market. He announced that the first high-quality new products will be released early next year. Xu Qi did not disclose specific information but confirmed that prices will exceed 5,000 yuan, or $ 780.

Realme is the fastest-growing smartphone brand, so it should come as no surprise that the company has publicly announced it will enter the high-end market after Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo.

Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo have already launched smartphones priced at over 5,000 yuan, hoping to fill the market gap left by Huawei. This is especially true for Xiaomi, which has greatly inflated the prices of its flagships since last year. It's worth noting that Xiaomi has an independent Redmi brand that continues to span the budget segment.
