The largest hydrogen charging station in China has officially entered commercial operation

Donghua Energy announced that the largest hydrogen filling station in China invested and constructed by the company has officially entered commercial operation. The gas source comes from the by-product hydrogen of the company's PDH plant. The current hydrogen production capacity of the Ningbo base is 60,000 tons/year.

According to the announcement, the company's hydrogen filling station is located on Daxie Island, Ningbo, Zhejiang. It has obvious geographical advantages and can radiate major hydrogen-using markets such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai. The gas source comes from the by-product hydrogen of the company’s PDH plant. At present, the hydrogen production capacity of the Ningbo base is 60,000 tons per year, and the by-product hydrogen purity can reach 99.99%; then through PSA purification, the hydrogen purity can be increased to 99.999%. Meet the different needs of the hydrogen market, especially for the hydrogen fuel cell industry that requires high purity of hydrogen. The company's hydrogen filling station has a designed capacity of 8000m 3 /h, which has the largest filling capacity in China. It has 10 filling positions, 11 large compressors, and 8 pressure swing adsorbers, which can realize fast and efficient hydrogen filling. After the charging station is put into operation, it is estimated that it can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 135,000 tons per year based on the calculation of 8,000 hours of charging per year.

The company is building a hydrogen filling station in Maoming at the same time. After it is put into operation in the future, the company will realize a comprehensive layout in the construction of hydrogen energy utilization facilities in the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta.
