Viltrox announces its first full frame AF lens with Canon RF Mount

Viltrox has unveiled its first full-frame Canon RF mount lens that supports autofocus. It's called the Viltrox AF 85mm f / 1.8 STM and costs $ 399.

The fixed focal length lens is marketed as a portrait tool. In addition, the quiet and accurate autofocus is said to make the lens suitable for video shooting.

The lens is quite compact - its length does not exceed 10 cm. The novelty weighs 530 g (without the cover and hood). The nine-blade diaphragm produces beautiful bokeh. The addition of an extra-low dispersion element and four glass elements with increased light transmission in the optical system helps to reduce chromatic aberration and improve color rendering. Also worth mentioning is the presence of a USB port for updating the lens firmware.
