Xiaomi released Android 11 kernel source code for Redmi Note 11 Pro

Just a couple of days after the release of the Redmi Note 11 smartphones in China, Xiaomi has released the Android 11 kernel source code for the Redmi Note 11 Pro.

The source code called Pissarro can be found on GitHub. It may not be of great importance to most casual users, but it will certainly be useful for developers and advanced users who want to create their own firmware for the device.

The Redmi Note 11 series includes three models: Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro, and Redmi Note 11 Pro +. It is speculated that the Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 11 Pro in India may be called Xiaomi 11i and Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge respectively. However, there is information that Redmi Note 11 5G will be released in India under the name Redmi Note 11T 5G.

Redmi Note 11 is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC, while the other two models are equipped with a Dimensity 920. The kernel source code can help developers explore how the performance of the MediaTek Dimensity platform can be improved with other firmware.
