TechPowerUp exposed the specifications of Intel H670, B660, and H610 chipsets, and the corresponding motherboards are expected to be listed in succession next year. According to reports, the three chipsets of H670, B660, and H610 chipsets will support DDR5 or DDR4 memory, and will not support CPU overclocking. All three chipsets support PCIe 5.0 channels, but motherboard manufacturers may not implement them.
The high-spec H670 is almost the same as the Z690 already on the market except that it does not support CPU overclocking. The mid-range B660 is more suitable for ordinary users, with 6 PCIe 4.0 channels and 8 PCIe 3.0 channels connected to the chipset. The H610 has a low positioning and does not have a PCIe 4.0 NVMe channel directly connected to the CPU, nor does it support PCIe 4.0. Another thing to note is that Intel now allows H670 and B660 memory to be overclocked.
Intel is expected to release the 12th-generation Core non-K series desktop processors at CES 2022, and new motherboards will also be released.
