Samsung has been preparing to develop 6G communication technology

Lee Jae-Yong, vice chairman of Samsung Electronics, told South Korean President Moon Jae-in today that Samsung has been preparing to develop 6G communication technology. Today, President Moon Jae-in of South Korea invited the heads of the six major Korean conglomerates for lunch, including Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-Yong, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, and Hyundai Motor Group Chairman. Chung Eui-Sun, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, Korea Telecom CEO Ku Hyeon-mo, and Pohang Steel Chairman Choi Jeong-woo.

At the luncheon, President Moon Jae-in hoped that they would continue to recruit young people during the new crown pneumonia epidemic. Moon Jae-in said: “Although South Korea is small in size and lacks natural resources, it relies on excellent talents and abundant human resources to rank among the developed countries. Therefore, talents are the most reliable destination for corporate investment.”

In addition, Moon Jae-in also expressed appreciation to Samsung and Hyundai for their respective efforts in cultivating talents. These six companies promised to create nearly 180,000 job opportunities for young people.

The meeting between Moon Jae-in and Lee Jae-Yong was also the first meeting of the two since Lee Jae-Yong was released on parole in August. According to Presidential Spokesperson Park Kyung-mee, Moon Jae-in and Lee Jae-Yong discussed 6G communication networks at the luncheon.

Park Gyeongmi said that Lee Jae-Yong told Moon Jae-in that Samsung has been preparing to develop 6G communication technology . In addition, Moon Jae-in also called on Samsung and Hyundai to cooperate on automotive chips.
