OpenHarmony Technical Steering Committee announced that Huawei's chief scientist in the software field was elected as the chairman of the TSC

 Open source obscurity official has hereby declared: OpenAtom OpenHarmony project group completed the first session of the Technical Steering Committee (Technical Steering Committee, "TSC" ) of the members of the election, the seven TSC based OpenHarmony project group charter election members. This election aims to bring together academic and industrial forces to jointly prosper the OpenHarmony ecosystem.

Open Source Harmony is operated by the Open Atom Open Source Foundation OpenHarmony Project Group Working Committee, mainly donated by Huawei for the basic capabilities of intelligent terminal operating systems, and an open-source distributed operating system built by global developers. Facing the characteristics of all scenarios, distribution, etc., it is a "full (all fields) · new (new generation) · open (open source) · open (open)" operating system; while HarmonyOS is based on OpenHarmony development for a variety of Commercial version of all-scenario smart devices. It is a new generation of intelligent terminal operating systems developed by combining its own characteristics and capabilities.

According to reports, Mr. Chen Haibo, chief scientist in Huawei's software field, was elected as the chairman of TSC, and Wu Yanjun, Zang Binyu, Zhang Zhaosheng, Zhang Rongchao, Li Yingwei, and Jia Ning were elected as TSC members. The specific members are as follows (in no particular order):

Chen Haibo: Chairman of OpenHarmony Project Group TSC, Chief Scientist of Huawei Software Field 

Chief Scientist of Huawei Software Field, Vice President of Central Software Institute of Huawei 2012 Lab, Distinguished Professor of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Director of Parallel and Distributed Systems Research Institute, Deputy Director of System Software Committee of China Computer Federation (CCF), Co-founder of ACM ChinaSys, Chairman, the first SOSP Asian Scholar Breakthrough and the first Chinese Scholar Chair. In the past five years, it has ranked first in the world in terms of the number of papers published at the top conferences in the field of operating systems (according to csrankings statistics). His research interests include operating systems, parallel and distributed systems, and system security. Created core technologies such as Huawei's microkernel and automatic formal proof, and promoted the large-scale application of a number of core technologies in products. Led the Huawei team to continue to deepen the Linux community, and ranked first in the patch contribution of Linux community versions 5.10/5.14. The co-authored "Modern Operating System: Principles and Implementation" won the 2020 51CTO Reader's Favorite IT Book Award in just 2 months.

Li Yingwei: TSC member of OpenHarmony project group, chief technical expert of Huawei terminal BG software productization architecture

Huawei software scientist, chief technical expert of terminal BG software productization architecture, 18 years of experience in embedded system software R&D and productization, involving underlying software, protocol software, system optimization, componentized architecture, and product line software engineering.

Janin: TSC member of OpenHarmony project group, Deputy Director & Chief Architect of Huawei OS Kernel Lab

Ph.D., Department of Computer Science, Peking University, Deputy Director and Chief Architect of Huawei OS Kernel Lab. He has been deeply involved in the field of basic software for more than 10 years and is familiar with the full-stack architecture of operating systems. He has published many academic papers and related invention patents at well-known conferences at home and abroad. Leading Huawei's microkernel design and R&D work, promoting it to become the industry's first operating system kernel to obtain both CC EAL5+ and ASIL-D high-level security certifications, and to achieve commercial implementation in scenarios such as terminal security OS.

Wu Yanjun: TSC member of OpenHarmony project group, deputy chief engineer of Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Director of Intelligent Software Research Center, Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences, researcher and doctoral supervisor, undertakes a number of national-level scientific research tasks in the field of operating systems, leads the team to deeply participate in HarmonyOS* and OpenHarmony, and undertakes research and development of chip adaptation and tripartite component libraries.

Zang Binyu: TSC member of OpenHarmony project group, Dean of School of Software, Shanghai Jiaotong University

Deputy Secretary-General of the Software Engineering Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education was a professor of the Department of Computer Science of Fudan University and is now a professor of the School of Software, Shanghai Jiaotong University. He has successively served as the system architect of the Intel Compilation Department, the dean of the School of Software of Shanghai Jiaotong University, and the vice-chairman of the Alliance of Demonstration Software Schools. The main research areas cover compilers, operating systems, and computer architecture.

Zhang Zhaosheng: TSC member of OpenHarmony project group, CTO of Shenzhen Kaihong Digital

13 years of experience in embedded system research and development and products, involving video image processing, AI algorithms, embedded system optimization and other technical fields, won the third prize of Zhejiang Province Science and Technology Progress Award. Participated in 8 scientific and technological projects, including 3 at the national level and 2 at the provincial level, published 5 papers, and participated in 21 invention patents.

Zhang Rongchao: TSC member of OpenHarmony project group, 51CTO director of production and education development of Hongmeng, chief expert consultant of Runhe Software

With more than ten years of experience in the IT industry and education and training industry, he has served as a senior software development engineer, project manager, product technical director, and chief gold medal lecturer. Open source cultural ambassador and the first batch of certified lecturers awarded by the Open Atom Open Source Foundation; HarmonyOS Developer Expert (HDE) awarded by Huawei, the first batch of HarmonyOS* course developers; 51CTO Gold Lecturer; Author of "Hongmeng Application Development Practice"; The publisher's 2021 Best-Selling New Book Award and Influential Author Award.
