Realme 9i released and equipped with Snapdragon 680


Realme officially released the realme 9i, its first entry-level smartphone in 2022, in Malaysia the day before yesterday. The new phone is slated to go on sale later this month on January 22nd and is already available for pre-order through the brand's official online store on Shopee.

The realme 9i is equipped with a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels, and a punch-hole camera in the upper left corner. There's also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB-C 2.0 port for file transfer and charging, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 680 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via microSD. Like other phones recently released by the brand, the realme 9i also supports memory expansion.

The realme 9i houses a large 5,000mAh battery that supports the brand's 33W Dart Charge fast charging technology, which can fully charge the phone's battery in just 70 minutes.

Image-wise, the phone has a triple-camera setup on the back, including a 50-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel macro, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the same time, there is a 16-megapixel front-facing camera in the punch-hole of the display, and its front and rear imaging systems can record 1080p video at 30 frames per second.

The 4GB+128GB configuration of the realme 9i is priced at 799 Malaysian ringgits (about 1210 yuan), and the 6GB+128GB configuration is 869 Malaysian ringgits (about 1316 yuan). In terms of color options, the smartphone is available in Prism Blue and Prism Black.
