Wafer foundry Power Semiconductor's 2021 revenue exceeds $2.3 billion to record high

Driven by the shortage of chips in many fields such as automobiles and consumer electronics, the performance of wafer foundries has generally improved, and many manufacturers are operating at full capacity. Revenue reached $56.8 billion, an increase of $11.3 billion from $45.5 billion in 2020, a year-on-year increase of 24.9%.

In addition to the largest foundry TSMC, the performance of other foundries has also increased significantly, and Power Semiconductor is one of them.

According to information on the official website of RSMC, their revenue in 2021 will reach NT$65.623 billion, or about US$2.38 billion, a new high.

Judging from the data disclosed by PSMC on the official website, their revenue in the 12 months of last year increased year-on-year. In November and December, the year-on-year growth rate increased by more than 70%, and the year-on-year growth rate from August to October was Above 50%, the lowest in January, also increased by 18.6% year-on-year.

Since PSMC has not disclosed its fourth-quarter results, it is impossible to know the profit situation for the whole year. However, it is reported that the profit of PSMC in 2021 has also increased significantly year-on-year, with pre-tax profit of nearly 700 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of more than 300%.
