Today, MWC 2022 officially opened in Barcelona, Spain. Lenovo released a series of products, solutions, and services online, such as the world's first ThinkPad equipped with the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 computing platform. X13s, mobile workstation "ceiling" ThinkPad P16s and ThinkPad P14s Gen 3, the thinnest ThinkBook 13s Gen 4i ever, and more.
While the previous generation Lenovo ThinkPad P14s (Gen 2) was available in both Intel and AMD versions, this time only Intel Alder Lake-H processors are available.
Lenovo says the ThinkPad P14s is its lightest mobile workstation, with the Gen 3 being compressed to 0.59 inches (about 14.99 mm) thick and 100 grams lighter (1.39 kg) compared to the P14s Gen 2.
The ThinkPad P16s Gen 1 is 0.69 inches (about 17.53 mm) thick and weighs 1.73 kg. Aside from some differences in the display, keyboard, and battery, the ThinkPad P14s Gen 3 and ThinkPad P16s Gen 1 share similar specs.
Both new P-series mobile workstations are equipped with Intel's 12th-generation Alder Lake-H Core i7 processors, up to 14C20T i7-12800H, and the graphics card has been upgraded from the previous-generation Quadro T500 to this year's Quadro T550. This is also the second Quadro T550 workstation laptop this year.
The P14s Gen 3 is equipped with a 14-inch IPS display with 1920x1200 (touch and non-touch optional), 2240x1400 (300nit, 100% sRGB) and 3840x2400 (touch, X-Rite calibrated, 500nit, 100% DCI-P3) version, but the P16s is only available in 1920x1200 and 2560x1600 options.
Both workstations support up to 48 GB of DDR4-3200 memory, but have only one SO-DIMM slot for expansion, support up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe storage, and come with USB 3.1 Type-A, Thunderbolt 4, RJ-45, and Conventional interfaces such as HDMI also support Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, with optional 4G LTE connection.
The ThinkPad P14s Gen 3 is available with either a 39.3 or 52.5 Whr battery, while the P16s has a 52.5 Whr or 86 Whr battery. Both models are certified for a variety of mobile workstations for use with a variety of ISV programs, including but not limited to ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Creo, Revit, SOLIDWORKS, and more.
Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 3 and ThinkPad P16s will be sold overseas in April 2022, with black and gray versions available, starting at 1529 euros (about 10840.61 yuan) and 1549 euros (about 10,840.61 yuan) respectively. 10982.41 RMB).
