Qualcomm wants to release a replacement for the failed Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC

Qualcomm, according to numerous reports, will release the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ SoC this year, which is not something surprising. However, new rumors indicate that the company wants to release this platform as soon as possible. To do this, she asks TSMC to accelerate the production of a new SoC using the 4 nm process technology.

Probably, Qualcomm's desire is connected with not the best fame that the current top platform has already managed to earn. We are talking about problems with overheating and throttling. The updated SoC thanks to the new technical process can become better in this matter, although it is still difficult to say how much. After all, Qualcomm will also have to raise the frequency so that the new solution is faster than the old one.

When exactly the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ will be released is not yet clear, but it may happen faster than in the case of the Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 888+ pair.
